This is Neil Ewing, the founder of Ewing IT here in the UK. We are a small, bespoke MSP with circa 25 clients, all corporate and we deal with a diverse vertical from manufacturing to finance and everything in between.
We formed 5 years ago, although I have previously run a successful MSP since 2011. We pride ourselves on a personal service, really trying to be part of the customers that we work for.
Personally, I have been an IT professional for about 25 years, being an old school MCSE - although my certification has long since lapsed I am ashamed to say, but for me it's all about experience. Certifications are great, but experience is essential.
I came over to SuperOps from Syncro having been watching the development over 12-18 months - no regrets.
I have a real passion for making sure that our customers are well looked after and "feel" like they are well looked after too.
Being in IT for 25 years, I have literally seen the revolution. When I started in IT, we didn't have email (sure it existed, but we didn't use it, we used a FAX machine at best), "googling" hadn't been invented, to be fair most people didn't have a mobile phone!
Now we are connected, all the time, to everything we desire (and many things we probably would be better without). It's a complex world, and with everything connected, it can be difficult to navigate particularly for those who are younger and have always been connected to everything.
I hope for a bright future for everyone, I wish the world was a calmer place than it is right now, and hopefully one day it will be.
